Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive comes out later today and the company has released a launch trailer to mark the occasion. The game will be available on Steam and US PlayStation Network soon, with an expected Xbox LIVE Arcade and EU PSN release tomorrow.
The title had a lengthy beta trial that has been live since November 30th 2011, with a very healthy changelog that has been regularly updated by its developer.
Valve also announced that CS:GO will come with a built-in zombie mod! Even though details are limited, we know that it will be fully open to modders, so expect a high amount of custom user-made maps and new mods added into the game. The official Counter-Strike blog revealed the extension of the game and followed with:
“It was important to us as we developed CS:GO to make sure it was as moddable and extensible as any CS game. So this is just one of many mods that will be available to CS:GO in the coming months.”
Gamers can watch the launch trailer below. The video was made exclusively in Valve’s new Source Filmmaker and shows a police raid on an attempted bunker bust. Some gameplay would have been nice, but we assume this was just to show off the developer’s brand new tool.
