First GamerNode contest! I Can Play Guitar! (OVER)

I'd like to announce the start of GamerNode contests, contests which registered users can participate in to win prizes and avoid The Pit.

The contests were officially set to launch next week, but much like that one forum member who pretended he was a mobster, I got an offer I couldn't refuse.

Inspired by Guitar Hero comes I Can Play Guitar, a guitar controller that attaches to your TV and lets you rock out. (Or not, depending on your definition of rock.) Unlike Guitar Hero, this was made with education in mind, and it will teach you chord placements and all that fun stuff. If you're looking to learn to play the guitar but still want to play some sort of game, want another video game guitar to add to your collection, or want to get a good gift for a younger aspiring musician, this is a good thing to consider for the holiday season.

Now, thanks to my pal Eric, one lucky GN reader will get this guitar absolutely free (instead of paying $100 bucks).

To talk about the game and show some more stuff, they gave us a video of a kid named Drake Bell, who I'm told is some new Nickelodeon star.

So how will this contest work? Well, they considered just having a random drawing, but I thought I'd make it a little more interesting. Below is an image of the actual guitar product. Your task is to Photoshop or MSPaint it into another image, creating a wonderfully funny masterpiece. (Or a pathetically sad one if your skills are anything like mine.) I'll decide the winner, and on August 22, I'll announce who won, contact them for their shipping info, and everything will be a-ok.

To submit your entry, please post it in the official contest forum thread. Please remember to post the source of your images so we can make sure no one is cheating ;).

As a group of wise philosophers once stated due to FCC editing: "Let's get it started!" Remember to tune in next week for another GN Contest. What prize will we give away then? I really don't know, because I haven't decided yet.
