Kyle Stallock

Kyle Stallock
I'm Kyle, aka Coyotegrey. Yep, I know. It's a goofy name but it's all deep and stuff so how about you not laugh and let me be happy mmmmmmmk? I'm a dreamer. Like many of you, I've always wanted to work in the videogame industry and have been willing to do just about whatever it takes to make it happen. I believe in this industry.

The Q

The Q
Welcome to The GN Q. This is where we ask you, the readers, what you think about games, characters, genres, peripherals, consoles, achievements, colors, shapes, and all sorts of things, because honestly, you guys are more important than we are.

Listen Up

Listen Up
Shhh...listen...do you hear that? It's the sound of a sweet melody when you first turn on Final Fantasy, or a heart-pounding drum beat while you're fleeing from zombies in Resident Evil. It's the grunts, groans, screams, and speeches that make a game go from moving pictures to an immersive, living world. Jason Fanelli is here to lead you through the sounds of the games you play, from the obvious to the not-so-noticeable. Make sure you listen well...

The Reel

The Reel

FilmPLOSION!

FilmPLOSION!
Brendon has always had a love for movies, so he thought it was time he made his own movie blog. Don't expect a ton of groundbreaking intellectual discourses here -- just some reviews and commentary from an often sarcastic film fanatic. While some people take this stuff way too seriously, Brendon doesn't even know the meaning of that word. Or lots of words, for that matter.

So what can you find in here? Maybe a fun tale of something that happened in my day. Maybe something I found interesting or felt like rambling about, but not on the actual news page. Whatever you find, remember that everything in here is my opinion and my opinion alone, and I hate a lot of stuff. Even babies.

Frank Ling

The GamerNode staff is comprised of people who love games. And I'm one of the proud members who shamelessly talk, breath, think, play and dream about them. I'll be opening my brain to let out all the little things that fascinate me about what makes the gaming world tick and I hope you enjoy this weird ride along with me.

OneWordReview

OneWordReview
Welcome to One Word Review, GamerNode's unique take on videogame critique. Here, we present a single game, reviewed with but a single word. You may not always find our words in your standard dictionary, but we have faith that you will catch our meaning, nonetheless. Videogames are so often rated, reviewed, and discussed to exhaustion, so while some may call OWR a creative way to be lazy, we call it succinct, sincere... and fun. We love reader input at GN, so be sure to throw your own OWRs in the comments section, too.

You Win!

You Win!
Welcome to You Win! This GN column has been put together to honor not only the best and the brightest in the videogame industry, but also the most useless, incompetent, and just plain foolish. GN will be looking at industry news, announcements, game releases, retail, politics, marketing, corporate shake-ups, critics, and anything else that could possibly inspire us to create and bestow a brand new (and extra shiny) custom award as often as possible. The frequency of new "winners" is entirely up to how consistently awesome or despicable everyone chooses to be.

Head 2 Head

Head 2 Head
Two combatants enter; only one leaves: this is the credo of Head 2 Head. GamerNode aims to bring the best match-ups and bitter rivalries in the videogame industry to our readers, who will be tasked with crowning a definitive champion of each contest. We may ask which of two games or companies is superior, or we may ask which of two industry figures would win in a knock-down, drag-out rumble, but whatever the stipulations, the winner is up to you. Comments will be tallied and listed in the next edition of Head 2 Head. Round 1: Fight!

Come in, my friend! Let me regale you with tales of my travels. I've seen many places, from an underwater dystopia, to the post-apocalyptic ruins of Washington D.C., to a fantasy land filled with mushrooms, plumbers, and dragons. Call me a jack-of-all-trades. Want some news? You got it. Short reviews? Coming right up. Rambling nonsense? You bet. I can't promise you'll always agree with me, but I can promise you'll always be entertained.

Jason Fanelli

Jason Fanelli
I've been in a bit of a tight spot as of late. I'm a huge gamer, but some of the people around me aren't as interested as I am. Because of this, I've had a lot to say about the industry, but nowhere to go...until now. Muse upon my rants and raves and feel free to add your own. I look forward to debating with you.

Phil Williams

Phil Williams
News review and opinion. Through my weekly column I'll be looking to highlight issues in videogaming news, to look at the background and the industry. Warning, I'm a trained philosopher, so if I slip into technical speech or start using weird terms, gimme a slap, I'll snap out of it...

Mike Murphy

I'm here to not just offer commentary on the latest happenings I have been reporting or reading. I will be looking to offer my views on interesting, thought-provoking, and perhaps even hot-button topics regarding the gaming industry. Anything that I feel would strike up a good discussion or debate can be found here. I will be doing so in as unbiased a manner as possible unless otherwise noted in the column or title. Don't worry, I can take the fanboy banter on these issues. It will simply mean I have done my job well.

Top 5 Takedown

Top 5 Takedown
Whatup, I'm Dan Crabtree, and every week I and the Flying Dutchman, Mark Nauta, will be bringing you the Top 5 Takedown, where we'll run down our top five picks for absolutely anything in gaming. Now I know what you're thinking: clearly these are two ballin' dudes, so what's so special about their top five? Well I'll tell you. Every week, I travel to the peak of Mt. Olympus, yes that's right, Mt. Olympus, and receive this legendary list from the gods of gaming, namely Zeus and Diglett. From there, I fight my way back down Olympus, hacking and slashing through Kratos, Foot Ninjas, and the Army of Darkness, finally returning home via epic voyage to post it on GamerNode as the Top 5 Takedown.

Welcome to the most important introduction to a gaming website personal column by a current student at the College of William and Mary of all time. In this introduction, you may find exactly what your looking for, assuming you are looking for excellence in greatness, excellence in journalism, and greatness in excellence. If you aren't looking for any of the previously listed qualities, you may also enjoy this introduction's candor, pizazz, or explosive intimacy. Sounds delightful, you say? It is. And it's just the introduction.

Oh, hello. Didn't see you standing there. Welcome to my column, where I intend to write and discuss things a bit differently. See, I'm interested in gaming culture and the people who make the magic happen. Gaming is beginning to permeate all forms of entertainment and inside you'll find topics ranging from game-related art to obsessive collectors and indie developers. I am also constantly looking towards the future of the medium and the radical change that any game can bring. If this is something you are also interested in, would you kindly step inside?
