Resident Evil 5 (360, PS3)

I'm a Resident Evil junkie, and for good reason. Resident Evil 4 was, and still is, one of the best games I've played in years, improving with subsequent update. Resident Evil 5 looks to take that winning formula and expand upon it in 2009. The game continues to move the franchise away from its slow, methodical roots toward more intense action gameplay, but it is masterfully done, distinguishing RE5 from the typical, everyday shooter. Adding new tweaks to streamline the gameplay, including new control schemes for dual-stick purists and fast weapon- and item-switching for us impatient folk, this is shaping up to be the best Resident Evil yet.

Im looking to armed assualt 2, and operation flashpoint 2.

Yeah, Op Flash 2 should be good, it looks amazing and as long as the new devs keep the spirit of the original alive I reckon it'll be a hit.

Simple answer, Leo: Eddie's not a PC gamer.

PC gamer or not, but, dude, Blizzard sequels are already guaranteed to be the biggest hits of any year. Starcraft 2 is one of the biggest titles of all time in anticipation, and Diablo is not far behind...

Though I'm not sure either one will be out next year.

Short answer - I never "anticipate" rts, regardless of platform. They just sort of happen.

Longer answer:
Diablo 3 - Excited about it, just not as much as the others.
Starcraft 2 - I played a lot of the original, and the novelty wore off. I'm sure it will be a fine game, I'm just not drooling in anticipation for it.
DoW2 - Just not interested. I'm more of a Warhammer Fantasy kind of guy.
Sims 3 - Cool, another Sims, but it's hard to get excited about.

PC gamer or not (and I play plenty on my PC), these are mostly games for tinkerers, something I'm not much of.

God of War and Bioshock are what I'm looking forward to. Oh yeah...
