Following Koch Media’s acquisition of Volition, Inc. during this week’s THQ auction, outspoken and charismatic ex-Epic Games Design Director Clifford Bleszinski delivered an inspirational message, via Twitter, for the Saints Row series developer and its new publisher, Deep Silver.
“Lose the gimps and dildos…” he advised yesterday over a series of 9 tweets.
Bleszinski was very clear about his perspective on the matter of maturity and game design, stating, “Dildo holds them back. It’s immature.” He followed with, ” “I think the dildo is hilarious,” however.
Silliness aside, if there is such a thing with the Saints Row series (a perception that is precisely his point), Bleszinski suggested that the next installment of Volition’s series could have what it takes to topple the exalted Grand Theft Auto franchise, from a design standpoint. He just doesn’t want it to continue be, “that game with the dildo.”
