With just a few days left until E3, 2K Games has revealed today that one of its flagship games for the upcoming event, Civilization V, will be releasing for North American PC owners on September 21. International owners will be getting the game a few days later on September 24.
"Sid Meier’s Civilization V reinvigorates the classic turn-based strategy genre with an astonishing new engine built from the ground-up for this flagship edition of the Civilization franchise," read the press release. "Players are introduced to a heightened tactical combat system; vast, realistic landscapes to explore; deeper diplomatic interactions; and an array of expanded features that deliver a fully immersive experience providing hours of entertainment as players build and defend their empire on their quest to become the greatest ruler the world has ever known."
The announcement comes just under 12 hours after the game’s website re-launched with newly announced civilizations and leaders. The new leaders/civilizations included Darius (Persia), Ramkhamhaeng (Siam), and Hiawatha (Iroquois).
