There’s a hot bargain on Halo 4 this week: only $40 at the Microsoft Store. For a month-old hot title like this, a $20 price drop is a solid discount. Let’s compare this to last year’s big November release, Skyrim. That game didn’t drop to $40 until March 2012. High five, Mr. Gates!
Yesterday Gamefly kicked off their “Not so Scary End of the World” sale for PC Downloads. Basically they release new discounts every 48 hours, now until December 21st. Today’s bargains aren’t that great, but among the riff raff is a huge drop on Sleeping Dogs from $50 to $16.
If you’re eager to re-live the classics of the mid 90s, you can snag Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition for FREE at GOG.com. It’s only a 35-megabyte download. Not gigabyte. Megabyte. Those were the days. This is a great download for anyone who’s all out of gum.
And for something a little more recent, but equally apocalyptically themed, Metro 2033 is free to download until product keys run out, so long as you like the game’s Facebook page. The game pits players against mutants and hostile humans in the Moscow metro system, and received generally favorable reviews from critics.
