Fresh from a Capcom Gamer’s Day event in London comes the news of Street Fighter 4, the next entry in the mega long-running fighting series. Details are extremely scarce at the moment since it was just a brief announcement, but Capcom did mention it’d probably be released sometime in 2008 but probably in 2009.
Only concept footage of Ryu fighting Ken was shown at the event and Capcom claimed that they only initially started development – hence the lack of material shown at the event.

If Street Fighter 4 is released in 2008, it’ll coincide nicely with the next Street Fighter movie. The film will focus on Chun Li and will be headed up by Doom director Andrzej Bartkowiak.
