Microsoft sure is looking to cash in big this holiday season. First we get bundles with Forza 2 and Ultimate Alliance, and now anyone buying a 360 (in the US) between November 21 an December 21 will receive a copy of Halo 3 completely free.
According to a page at Xbox.com which was up briefly earlier today but has since been taken down (someone at MS jumping the gun, perhaps?), it’s a fairly simple process.
Just buy an Xbox 360 between November 21 and December 21; connect to Xbox LIVE; register with promotional code XBX7777, your new console serial number, and a valid mailing address; and look for your copy of Halo 3 for Xbox 360 in your mailbox by January 18, 2008.
Boy, will my buddy who bought a 360 yesterday be upset…
