The first ever trailer for Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 has been released. While it’s only a short teaser trailer, there’s still plenty to gush over.
The most surprising aspect of the trailer is that the main character is dual-wielding his guns. Another notable enhancement from the original is the improvement on the game’s story missions, according to Gearbox.
"The story missions in Borderlands 2 are about three times the scope of a single story mission in the first game," explains game designer Paul Hellquist, "and they twist and turn throughout; your gameplay is changing, your goals are changing…it will be a much more dynamic experience compared to last time."
With the additions of dual-wielding and a narrative focus, Borderlands 2 promises to deliver a vault full of bullet-frenzied gunslinging. Gearbox is aiming to release Borderlands 2 sometime in 2012.
