Before the bombshell that is StarCraft II was dropped last month, fans had to satiate their StarCraft addiction with StarCraft: Ghost, a planned console title.
But after hitting a few snags, switching developers twice and eventually putting it on "indefinite hold", fans’ dreams about another StarCraft game poofed into the stratosphere. So what’s going on with StarCraft: Ghost, eh?
Blizzard Entertainment’s Rob Pardo shared some words regarding the game and they hope that one day, they can return to StarCraft: Ghost, "With that game [StarCraft: Ghost] we were very stubborn. I still believe in that game and the characters but we were not able to execute at the level we wanted to…Rather than work on that we had to focus on our other games. We’re hoping one day to return to it."
That may put some smiles to fans but I wouldn’t expect the game to come out anytime soon. Of course, Blizzard has StarCraft II to worry about; along with any other secret projects (I hope Diablo III is somewhere in there!).
