Bioware has answered some questions regarding the future of the Dragon Age franchise, even discussing the third game in the series.
"One of the core values of Bioware is that we take feedback really seriously," said Dr. Ray Muzyka, CEO of Bioware, in an interview with PC Gamer at Gamescom, " and we know that the core fans who were expecting more Dragon Age: Origins – we have to respond to that. We’re not willing to ignore that; we’re going to take that head on."
Bioware is clearly aware of the negative feedback they received on Dragon Age 2. However, they also know the strengths that it and Origins possess and look to draw from each title in their third installment.
Muzyka explains, "I think the team is going to have some things that are going to surprise both sets of fans, both core fans and new fans with a marriage of these… the best from both games, Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. And we look forward more to talking about that in the future."
Dragon Age 3 has not been officially announced by Bioware but the developers at least know the direction they are taking with their next game in the series.
