In an exchange on the 2K Games forums, one user expressed his "serious concern" about BioShock DRM. That is, he called it gay. DRM, or Digital Rights Management, is a tool by which companies can lock up their products so you can’t really do what you want to with them. Want to see the complaint with BioShock? Well, take a look at the conversation yourself:

IS THIS GONNA CHARGE ME TWO OF MY 5 Activations???? IF SO THAT IS GAY…. I need to know this ASAP before I attempt to play this on my pc under the other user… THis is a bug if the case be….so get yo stuff fixed!
Here’s the response from moderator 2k Tech JT:

So you be the judge. Is this utterly ridiculous? If you buy a book or a DVD, should it melt away in your hands right after you finish it so that nobody else can ever look at it? DRM is retarded, and I hope we get over this obsession with ruining products for the paying customers (because you can be damn sure that people with pirated copies don’t have these problems) as soon as possible.
