Medal of Honor fans have likely pre-ordered the next entry in the famed FPS franchise, but Battlefield fans may want to consider following suit thanks to a tempting pre-order bonus.
Earlier today EA UK’s Dan Sheridan tweeted that gamers who pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter will gain access to the Battlefield 4 beta. Since then, EA has confirmed the beta’s existence and revealed that an October/November 2013 launch window is planned.
EA Labels President Frank Gibeau also mentioned the connection between the Medal of Honor and Battlefield franchises, shedding some light on the decision to include the Battlefield 4 beta as a pre-order bonus.
“Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor Warfighter each offer players a completely unique experience, they are united by their underlying technology base – Frostbite,” he explained. “These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity and shooter entertainment.”
Late 2013 is a long wait, but Battlefield 3 did come out less then a year ago. That game will keep fans plenty busy until they get a chance to try the Battlefield 4 beta next October/November.
