EA has pulled the lid off of Battlefield 3 today, at least a little bit, with the release of the game’s teaser trailer.
The trailer doesn’t show much, but it does confirm that the title will stick with the current FPS status quo of modern military combat instead of the futuristic combat of predecessor Battlefield 2.
Details known so far about the game is that it will feature jets, 64-player multiplayer on the PC, and a brand new engine, Frostbite 2, that is designed to make jets and explosions more realistic.
Fans wanting more will have to wait until GDC in March or the next issue of Game Informer, where the game will have itself a big blowout feature.
Check out the teaser trailer below. Battlefield 3 releases this fall for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
