"Due to manufacturing and freight difficulties during this time of year, Ubisoft Australia & New Zealand were unable to receive their full allocation of Assassins Creed stock required to fulfill all Day One orders.
In an effort to treat all retailers and consumers fairly, Ubisoft will wait until the balance of stock is received in our warehouse before we ship the game."
That’s the explanation Ubisoft has given to Aussie gamers for a one-week delay of the high-profile Assassin’s Creed, originally scheduled for release this week.
Rather than simply releasing what they have, Ubisoft will try to avoid making gamers sing the sold-out blues, and will instead make everyone wait. I can see how this decision can be justified, but I imagine if I lived in Austrailia or New Zealand, I’d likely be just a tad upset.
