April sales figures. It's NOT GOOD to be Sony

PS3graphSony saw a decline of 50,000 less units sold in April than the preceding month of March. This bad news wasn’t what Sony had hoped for. David Karraker, Sony’s chief PR person, attributed the downturn in business to the lack of games available for the PS3.

Karraker said, "PS3 did see a dip in sales in April that we attribute mostly to a lack of new software in the market." (Note: the PS3 costs a lot too…)

But Karraker is optimistic about the future and pointed to big games lined up for release such as Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. "We feel strongly that this robust library will help drive hardware sales in the upcoming months."

Two games equal a "robust library" for the PS3? For Sony’s sake, there’d better be more than just two.
