A single player demo is now available for Ensemble Studio’s upcoming RTS expansion pack Age of Empires III: The War Chiefs. The 517 MB demo features two single player levels and two factions, one campaign map (play as the new Iroquois Confederation or the Germans) and one skirmish level (just as the Iroquois), all of which continue the Black family saga. Along with that, players’ persistent home cities can be improved across multiple games as they explore the California coast in the colonial days.
The War Chiefs is set for release on October 17. Three new Native civilizations (Iroquois, Sioux and Aztec), new Home City cards, new buildings, a new single player campaign with 15 missions, 7 new maps (3 through the Northwest Territory, California, the Painted Desert, Araucania, Orinoco and the Andes), new units (including the aforementioned War Chiefs), 16 new minor native tribes (Huron replaces Iroquois, Cheyenne replaces Sioux, and Zapotec replaces Aztec) and more are planned for the expansion.
