The Android bluetooth gamepad MOGA add-on will be available for more than 7,000 stores in the US on October 21. If you are interested in the add-on, the MOGA can be preordered from Amazon, Toys “R” Us, Best Buy, Walmart, and PowerA.com.
The gamepad gives functionality to mobile gamers who want the ability to have more accurate controls rather than relying on inaccurate touch-screen controls. It connects directly to Android smart phones and Android tablets with bluetooth.
The MOGA has dual analog sticks, shoulder buttons, four action buttons, start, and select buttons.
PowerA is offering a MOGA Software Development Kit for mobile game developers to have “greater precision, robust control, enhanced display abilities, while enabling fast, efficient development of rich new game titles and MOGA enhancement of existing titles.”
The gamepad gives Android game developers a new tool to make these games have more depth; and could allow for some innovation with no longer having to rely on strictly touch-screen controls.
PowerA is also launching the MOGA Pivot app, which will soon be available on Google Play will list all MOGA-enabled games.
At launch the MOGA can be tried out at Toys “R” Us and Best Buy stores. The product will be available at more than 2,000 T-Mobile stores at the start of November.
