Much to the dismay of gamers, Activision mentioned back in July that they wouldn’t be changing the downloadable song pack prices once Guitar Hero III is released, due to their overwhelming success. Now that Guitar Hero III is out, Activision released the first two song packs today. They’re detailed below:

As you can see, both packs cost 500 Microsoft Points each (amounts to $6.25 each), which was the same price of song packs for GHII. Even though I’ve seen gamers a bit miffed for the high price, these packs tend to sell pretty darn well.
Also I thought it was interesting to see "Slither" finally being added to the game, despite being heavily used in the game’s television ads. Funny, Slash himself was playing the song throughout the commercial, but the actual song doesn’t get added to the game till a week and a half later.
