Just hours after a complete and total flood of leaked details and information surrounding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hit the Web, Activision has finally made the existence of the game official with the first teaser trailer for the title.
Subtitled "America Under Siege", the video has two American soldiers chatting over a com. One asks where the other is headed, to which the other replies that he is leaving Manhattan and heading for Brooklyn.
The graphic for the video, which is the Modern Warfare’s signature green wavelength, forms the word "America" with the numeral "3"in place of "e". The wavelength then expands into an outline of a submarine firing missiles as part of a naval attack as the Statue of Liberty and New York City are seen in the background as the victims of the siege.
After panning into and above the city the image changes into "MW3", with "Call of Duty" forming over it and a man who sounds an awful lot like Modern Warfare 2 villain Vladimir Makarov speaking in Russian.
Based upon leaked information, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is believed to release on November 8, 2011.
