Seems like Nintendo may have been paying attention to gamers, after all. I was sitting here typing when all of a sudden the Wii erupted in that blue-glow I've come to love (and awkwardly awaken to) so much.
What did I find? In the Wii Ware section of the Wii Shop channel, there is now a Metroid section, which contains two Metroid videos (streaming and in fairly low resolution, sadly). Two other videos are also slated to be released on the 13th. One of the videos is a trailer for Metroid Prime 3, while the other is a gameplay demonstration. There are also a couple cool images to look at via some sort of scratch game. Nintendo, welcome to the Internet age!
As of now (roughly 3~ A.M.) the videos are only available in the US. For a minute or two European Wii owners were able to see the new section, so hopefully that update is coming soon over there. (Or someone at NOA has dyslexia.)
A step in the right direction? Certainly. If you check out metroid.com, you'll also notice that it now shows info about Metroid Prime 3! If you don't have a Wii handy (or don't want to wake a loved one at 3:30 A.M.) check out below.

Meta Ridley is back again, lol wut.
I just hope this game is on par with the first one, and better than the second.
Watching this on my TV was orgasmic.
w00ters!
*hugs Wii* ^^
