MadWorld director Shigenori Nishikawa spoke with Official Nintendo Magazine and has stated that he is interested in making a second trip to Varrigan City. "I think MadWorld was very well received and was acknowledged for its innovative graphical style and gameplay," Nishikawa said. "We would definitely be interested in making a sequel in the future."
It should be pointed out that Sega may not be publishing this second entry in the ultra violent beat em up if it comes to fruition, since they expressed disinterest in publishing any more matur Wii games. That would leave Platinum Games the job of finding another publisher who wishes to tackle the tough to crack casual Wii audience. Here’s to hoping that a MadWorld sequel will become a reality.
