Ever wondered what it would be like to hobble about angrily as a lowly genlock? Or to rip a pathetic weakling in two through the eyes of a savage ogre? When Dragon Age: Origins‘ new DLC, the Darkspawn Chronicles, drops on May 18th, 400 Microsoft Points (or the equivalent for each respective platform) is all you’ll need to find out just how good it feels to be bad.
The content places you in the shoes of a Darkspawn, who has risen to power after your initial hero fails the Grey Warden joining ceremony in an alternate-universe type situation. In the hero’s absence, Alistair gains command and leads the other wardens to battle against the Archdemon and its minions. As a hurlock vanguard, it’s your job to stop Alistair and silence the Grey Wardens once and for all.
BioWare had this to say on their official description:
"You now fight as the Darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon’s call–Denerim must burn!"
The Darkspawn Chronicles is coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
And just when I thought drinking demon blood was safe again…
