Bioware has revealed a small amount of information regarding the next installment of DLC for Mass Effect 3.
Speaking on an official Bioware forum, Designer Jos Hendriks announced that “it’s all hands on deck for this one. Pretty much every ME3 DLC writer here in Edmonton is involved.”
Following the somewhat disappointing “Omega” add-on, it appears the expansion is being developed with an all-star lineup. Impressively, this consists of an unusually large team of eight that includes Patrick Weekes, John Dombrow and Lead Writer Mac Walters.
In addition, regular composer Sam Hulick is set to return after an absence from DLC contributions, with his last work being the “Extended Cut” added to Mass Effect 3‘s single-player post release. He confirmed his involvement in the new expansion via Twitter, stating “What I’m up to lately: working on an unannounced Mass Effect 3 DLC!”
Another major return is Seth Green, who has voiced fan-favorite character Joker since the original Mass Effect. Producer and Voice Director Caroline Livingstone confirmed Green’s involvement after tweeting and thanking him for his involvement in a recent session. Finally, the voice actor of squadmate Kaiden Alenko, Raphael Sbarge, tweeted about being in the recording studio at the end of October.
Previously, files that were hacked from DLC content hinted that the next single-player add-on would be focused around The Citadel. Similar files also detailed the previous “Leviathan” and “Omega” DLC before their release, possibly giving credence to this rumor.
It seems Bioware could be pulling out all the stops for this next expansion; can we expect an epic conclusion to a now lengthy series of DLC?
