World of Goo, from developer 2D Boy, is a gem among the always expanding library of independently developed games. It’s been available for the PC and the Wii for some time, but on the 16th of this month it will also be available for the iPad.
World of Goo tasks the player with building simple geometric bridge structures in order to deliver balls of goo to their destination. It’s the kind of game that is incredibly easy to learn, but will suprise you with it’s depth, complexity, and in some cases it’s difficulty. The iPad really seems like it could have the perfect interface for the game, allowing the player to touch the screen to build the required bridges.
World of Goo for the iPad will cost you $9.99 and will be available for download on Thursday, December 16th.
