ACE Team and Atlus will be rolling out this quirky downloadable title, Rock of Ages, in spring 2011 and the newest trailer makes the wait… interesting. It focuses on the power-ups that the main character, a round rock, can pick up to aid in his quest to knock things over.
Between the petroleum, the fireball, and the halo/wings combo, Rock of Ages looks to feature a quarry-full of character. In terms of art direction, the only thing the buildings and villagers can be likened to is the Monty Python animation – sort of a Baroque period jaunt through the medieval countryside. And the gameplay looks to be a mix between Beautiful Katamari and Super Monkey Ball.
Bizarre definitely describes it, but promising does as well. Keep your eye on this one in the spring on XBL and PSN, and check out the trailer below.
