On March 20, gamers will finally be able to slice and dice soldiers, demons, or whatever else gets in Ryu Hayabusa’s way to bits once again when Ninja Gaiden 3 releases.
The news comes from Tecmo Koei, who made the announcement earlier today. Also revealed was the game’s collector’s edition, which will come with an exclusive Ninja Gaiden 3 “Unmask” game art book, soundtrack CD, unique “Duel of the Masked” figure, and a four-character demo stage for Dead or Alive 5. The collector’s edition will only be available for purchase at GameStop and EB Games.
But those wanting to get a hold on that DoA5 demo and can’t get the collector’s edition have another option. Anyone who pre-orders the regular edition of the game from GameStop or Amazon will also get the demo stage, though they will only come with two of the four playable characters.
“With Ninja Gaiden 3, Team Ninja has created a fresh new way to take players behind the mask of the world’s greatest ninja, Ryu Hayabusa, where they must choose when to give mercy or wreak vengeance to learn what it means to be a dark hero,” said Amos Ip, SVP and General Manager of Tecmo Koei America. “Our preorder packages at GameStop and Amazon and our massive Collector’s Edition will give true fans their first chance to experience the unique fighting action of Dead or Alive 5 on day one when Ninja Gaiden 3 ships.”
GameStop pre-orders will see a fight between the Ninja Gaiden protagonist himself, Ryu Hayabusa, and DoA’s Hitomi. Purchasers of the Amazon pre-order will instead see a duel between DoA vixen Ayane and her half-brother, Hayate.
