The official Twitter account of Dead Space 2, @deadspace, tweeted a message today about online issues regarding the game.
At about 5 a.m. (EST) this morning, the following message was sent out via Twitter:
@deadspace: PS3 fans in NA, we’re investigating Online Pass code redemption issues. To play multiplayer, please use your 48-hour trial for now.
The official PlayStation Twitter account then retweeted the message. The Online Pass code bundled with the game gives gamers access to the online content, but it seems the PS3 codes are faulty.
What’s more, those who bought the game for the PC via Steam are also experiencing difficulties obtaining their copy of the game. One person tweeted that EA Customer Service informed the game wouldn’t be available until 12:01 a.m. tomorrow.
The Steam website posted the following message for those looking to download the game:
