One of the most recent achievement lists to hit the Net delivers plenty of the expected and a little surprise. Given the list, Homefront looks to supply gamers with all the military action of other modern AAA shooters but only six chapters of single player.
Kaos Studios, Homefront‘s developer, assured GamerNode at E3 2010 that the Homefront single-player campaign is all about two things: making the familiar alien and pacing. After GN’s hands-on experience this November, both of these goals became apparent in gameplay and storytelling elements. But the release of this achievements list shows that Kaos only has six chapters in which it can accomplish its ambitious goals.
Now, a chapter in a shooter can really be any length especially if there are a heaping helping of checkpoints, so there’s no reason to begin sighing. The achievements also hint at a deep multiplayer system with leveling up to 50 and 16-player parties and all the great stuff that goes into addictive online modern combat. And the fire-related achievements seem to imply some sense of moral decision making (without any organized morality system).
Look to see what Homefront‘s six chapters and multiplayer have to offer come March 8 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
