THQ has today released details of Warhammer 40k: Kill Team, an arcade co-op shooter set to soften us up before Space Marine hits in September.
Kill Team pits you against a mighty Ork cruiser en-route to an imperial forge world; presumably the setting for Space Marine.
You and a friend will be able to choose one of six Space Marine chapters in local cooperative play, utilising bonus power-ups to bring down your foe. Kill Team contains four different classes, the Sternguard Veteran, Techmarine, Vanguard Veteran and Librarian. Whilst it is unclear whether the classes will have specific abilities, we can expect to see a combination of devastating ranged assaults and brutal melee attacks.
The trailer shows Ork Boyz, Nobz and even a deadly Stompa, so you’ll need to bring your A-game.
Those who purchase and play Kill Team will unlock the power sword in Space Marine when it’s released.
Warhammer 40k: Kill Team is expected in July for 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99 on PSN.
