ArenaNet is planning a major content blowout for Guild Wars 2 when the developer arrives for Gamescom in just under three weeks, according to a new blog post by the developer. Most notable will be the reveal of the game’s PvP and character customization.
There are no details on the customization aside from the fact that players will be able to check it out for the first time at the event. Regarding the PvP, it will be available for players to try out at the ESL booth in addition to ArenaNet developers taking on European guild BOON Control in periodic PvP exhibitions for attendees to watch throughout the show.
The event will also be the first time that fans will be able to check out and play both the Asura and Sylvari races. This could mean that ArenaNet has finished its planned reskin for the Sylvari and plan to unveil it at Gamescom.
Other content to be featured at the show will include mid-level underwater combat, the reveal of the Charr starting area, and the availability of all seven revealed professions. Fans are still awaiting the reveal of the eighth and final profession, but the blog post made no mention that it will come at the event.
Gamescom will take place in Cologne, Germany from August 17-21.
