PC Zone has revealed the first official expansion pack for Bethesda Softworks’ RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Entitled Shivering Isles, the expansion will offer 30+ hours of gameplay, featuring new quests, monsters, expanded free-form gameplay, and a new land that will change according to the player’s decisions.
The new realm of Shivering Isles will be opened via a gate in the Nibben Bay, and will be ruled by Sheogorath, the god of madness. The expansion has a release date of Spring 2007. Although no details regarding the expansion’s Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 availability were mentioned, Bethesda may go the route of downloadable content or a special "Game of the Year" package that includes both Oblivion and Shivering Isles (
