Today Valve officially launched a new system for their Steam client, where users can trade anything they own on Steam to another user. The Steam Trading Beta, as it’s being called, is available to anyone who opts in for the service.
When users receive surplus games as gifts or part of a package, they can trade them away to any of the users either on their friends list or in a group chat.
For the time being, Team Fortress 2 is the only title that supports in-game trading, but Portal 2 is soon to follow. Valve also has plans to add support for third-party titles as well.
