Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be out this November, but if you can’t wait that long the beta will be out early September. Like its prequel, the beta will be exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
When the beta begins, there will be nine characters to choose from. These characters include The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster, and The Champion. They all share the same basic behaviour, but their animations are all different and you can customize their ability sets.
Along with the nine characters, three maps are available from the get-go. The areas players will be exploring in the beta are Knight’s Hospital, Antioch, and Constantinople.
On these three maps players will be playing in four different modes. Two of these modes are returning from Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (Wanted and Manhunt), and the other two are brand new additions to Revelations (Deathmatch and Artifact Assault). There was no elaboration on what the two new modes will consist of.
There will be eight abilites in the beta, but unlike the maps, modes, and characters, some of them will need to be unlocked by ranking up. They consist of two newly added abilites and six abilities players will recognize: Disguise, Fire Crackers, Throwing Knives, Smoke Bomb, Poison, and Morph will be joined by Tripwire Bomb and Closure. The abilities were also not elaborated on.
The beta will begin on September 3 and run until September 11.
