GamerNode Weekly Recap 2/11 – 2/17 : More User Friendly Than Wii, PS3

Gears of War is going to be the recipient of another update, and will also "have a regular stream of new stuff," according to Mark Rein. While there’s no date attached to that new stuff, Rein did let us know that the next new update would include a "fun little surprise." Teams in ranked games, please.

One other piece of news pertaining to Gears was revealed recently. Mark Rein essentially stated that Gears of War will indeed be headed to PCs at some point in the future.

A study done by a Japanese tech website has shown that the Wii and PS3 are not "user friendly." Bottom line: read the user’s manual if you have a problem with your electronics.

Famed creator of Mario and Zelda, Shigeru Miyamoto, recently spoke about Nintendo’s efforts to stay away from violent games, what motivates him as a game developer, and more.

For whatever reason, Halo seems to be a gathering point for those who love to swear and whine incessantly while playing over Xbox Live. Thankfully, Halo 3 will be sporting a new quick mute feature–dubbed by Bungie as the "A-Hole Button."

Recently closed Clover Studio has been reborn in the form of SEEDS–a new independent development studio, composed of many big names from Capcom, including Atsushi Inaba, Shinji Mikami, and Hideki Kamiya.

The much anticipated Enemy Territory: Quake Wars–originally slated for release on PC–will also be seeing the light of day on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the PC version still has a 2008 fiscal year release date attached to it.
