On the second day of Gamescom, Sony Online Entertainment released pictures and a trailer for DC Universe Online’s new DLC called Fight for the Light. The trailer explains why the new content will focus on the Green Lantern as well as the introduction of Light as the game’s seventh power set.
While adding the eternal conflict between fear and will, Fight for the Light also opens up environmental options for a game previously more grounded. "The Green Lantern Corps," says Creative Director Jens Andersen, "give us a great stepping stone off of Earth, out into the solar system, and into the galaxy at large so we can explore the greater expanse of the DC Universe."
Seven pictures were released from SOE showing some of the battles that can take place when playing as a Green Lantern. Apparently, the big-budget movie, re-released comics, mutliplatform games, and a planet full of other merchandise weren’t enough to fuel this lantern’s light.
