Magazine publication Magaza Pelaaja spilled the beans for the next game in the Splinter Cell franchise subtitled Conviction. The title is a spy action game and Sam Fisher won’t be needing his night-vision goggles much as most of the action will take place during the day. The plot involves Fisher helping out his old friend and intelligence gatherer, Anna Grimsdottir, as she finds herself in dire straights. Unfortunately for Fisher, Third Echelon is in shambles when he rejoins the super-secret organization and suspects that someone on the inside is the cause.
Back in September, a RAR archive from Ubisoft was leaked which contained promotional images, artwork and logos for various upcoming unannounced games — including Splinter Cell: Conviction. No other details were revealed at the time but Conviction has been rumored for release on the Xbox 360 and PC. The game is expected on store shelves by the end of this year.
