Continuing the slew of EA related news for the past few days, which included Spore being delayed and EA’s Q4 financial results, EA mentioned that their first game collaboration with director Steven Spielberg will be for Nintendo’s Wii. No other details have been revealed about it other than it will be released before the end of EA’s 2008 fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2008.
Spielberg’s Wii game will be joining two other upcoming EA Wii titles: EA Playground from EA Canada and Boogie from EA Montreal. In addition, Spielberg is just one of the three heavyweight Hollywood directors that have decided to collaborate with the gaming industry.
Peter Jackson previously helped with the video game tie-in to his King Kong movie and three upcoming games with Microsoft including a new Halo game. James Cameron, director of Titanic, is rumored to be working on an online game to connect with his upcoming movie Avatar, have also expressed interest.
