The Xbox 360 has always had stories concerning its reliability. Microsoft has consistently maintained that failure rates hover around 3% while the Xbox 360 community suspects that the figures are even higher.
360gamer.com decided to poll its readership about this topic. The results were quite surprising.
According to the 2355 comments it received, 61% of those polled said that they are presently on their second or even third Xbox 360 console because of the previous ones biting the dust. That’s not 6.1%, we’re talking 61%.

"This system is poorly manufactured and should have never passed QC. The only reason it passed QC was because MS wanted to launch first so they could make a profit… at the disregard of the consumer. Shame on you, MS. I will now switch my gaming loyalties to Sony."
He’s switching his loyalties to Sony? He must be really upset. While the survey conducted by the website was not scientifically done, the fact is that even if half of those surveyed were correct in their assessment of the 360 that would still place Microsoft’s console at the 30% failure rate.
