At Comic-con 2007, EA has announced that another franchise will be entering the gaming market – a new super hero fighting game slated for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
In this new sequel maker, the new series will star a list of Marvel characters. The developing team responsible for this baby is from the franchises of Fight Night and DEF Jam: ICON.
EA’s Kudo Tsunoda, General Manager of EA Chicago, described the reasoning behind this soon to be sequel starter:
"We looked at past comic-based games to find out what was missing and what was needed to successfully translate the intensity, excitement and fiction from comics into fighting games…every battle will be unique; every battle will be like a first edition.”
Also, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance from Activision didn’t do too shabby with sales, which is probably the reason for EA’s entry into the arena of Marvel fighging games.
