It’s been six weeks since the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) refused to give Manhunt 2 an age-based rating in the UK. This, in turn, made it impossible for Rockstar Games to sell Manhunt 2 in the UK market.
Now, Rockstar is fighting back. Yesterday, Rockstar appealed that decision to the Video Appeals Committee (VAC), which has the power to overrule decisions made by the British Board of Film Classification. Who knew?
No word as to what grounds Rockstar is filing the appeal over. Maybe the game is so graphic, that it’s lost all of it’s meaning as an extremely violent game…or something like that. The VAC is currently forming a panel that will vote on the appeal.
