Two weeks ago, God of War and Twisted Metal creator David Jaffe announced the formation of a new development studio called Eat, Sleep, Play, which he and Scott Campbell will head up. Other than a port (with extra features) of the PSP game Twisted Metal: Head On, Jaffe only initially hinted of a deal with Sony for future games that’ll be released on the PlayStation Network.
In an interview with GamePro, Jaffe revealed more details of what’s happening with Eat, Sleep, Play. Up to 20 employees are now at the independent studio and Jaffe said that they’re working on three PS3 exclusive games.
He only disclosed minor details of the first game, which is currently unnamed and unannounced; it’s scheduled for release sometime in 2008.
Jaffe said, "I can’t disclose themes but the new game is medium to hardcore in terms of game play and will focus heavily on multiplayer. I am more excited about this game than anything I have ever worked on. I cannot wait to unveil it."
The original story said that Eat, Sleep, Play will focus on games for the PSN, so looks like that’s where their new game(s) is heading.
