Epic Games has announced that on the launch date of Gears of War 3, September 20, a "Season Pass" will be available for download that entitles players to four future downloadable content installments for the price of 2400 Microsoft Points ($30). The first pack of DLC will release in November, while the next three will release over the course of 2012.
Epic Games’ official site talks about the content and features of the DLC as well as the discount gamers will ultimately receive if they buy the Season Pass, assuming they were planning on purchasing all four DLC packs in the future.
"Adding hours of campaign and multiplayer mayhem, these game add-ons will be must-haves for any ‘Gears’ fan, and the Gears of War 3 Season Pass is your ticket to getting them at a discount the day they release," read the site. "Available Sept. 20 for 2400 Microsoft points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, the season pass represents a 33 percent savings versus purchasing the add-ons individually, and also includes an exclusive Liquid Metal Weapon Set."
Gears of War 3 has already exceeded 1.3 million pre-orders worldwide, making it the fastest pre-selling Xbox exclusive in the history of the platform. The game will release exclusively for the Xbox 360 on September 20.
