I just got an email from the Telltale Games crew and their website has been updated to unveil the official announcement of Sam & Max: Season Two. Among the usual offering of new screenshots, a cinematic trailer and art concepts, new details have been unearthed about the game itself.
GameTap will return as co-publisher of the series but instead of a 15-day waiting period, fans will only have to wait one day to get their hands on the different episodes in Season Two from Telltale’s site.
As for new additions to the series, there’ll be new characters, more lively NPCs, new game locations (including the arctic and the tropics), new mini-games in every episode, a new in-game hint system, updated driving controls, widescreen support and the ability to customize Sam & Max’s DeSoto!
Unfortunately, Telltale didn’t unveil how many episodes will be in Season Two; there were six episodes in Season One. But the series will launch this fall. Until then, keep checking back here for more Sam & Max information, since I’ll gladly be waiting to get my mitts on Season Two. Some screenshots are exhibited below too (spoilers ensue!).
