Nintendo has confirmed to Bloomberg Japan when details for the release date and price for the Nintendo 3DS will be announced. A representative for the company told the news outlet over the phone that September 29 will be the date for the reveal.
There has been no official announcement regarding the release date and price for the new handheld since its unveiling at E3 in June. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has said however that it will release in "all major markets" by the end of March 2011.
"We’ll be making individual market decisions in terms of what’s happening in Japan, what’s happening in the Americas, what’s happening in Europe. The one thing, for sure, is that we will launch in all of our major markets by March 31, 2011," he told IndustryGamers back on June 21.
The date puts the reveal out of the Tokyo Game Show, which will be taking place from September 16-19. It will most likely be a Nintendo 3DS specific press event.
