2K Games addresses key BioShock problems

big daddyA post on the official BioShock website should begin to alleviate some of the troubles people have been encountering lately. The update address problems with SecuROM, PC related activation problems, technical support and the first details of a PC/Xbox 360 patch.

First, 2K Games will be upping the number of game activations from 3 to 5 and the number of computers BioShock can be installed on simultaneously from 2 to 5. Also 2K is working on an uninstall key that’ll remove an activation key from a PC and transfer it to somewhere else, much like Steam or iTunes.

Next, 2K addressed and worked on some issues with the SecuROM and 2K support staff. My guess is they got a stern talk and they’ll be on the ball more to help address the number of problems. Also 2K updated their technical support FAQ page for BioShock.

Lastly, 2K is working on the first official patch for BioShock, which will address the widescreen problem. All and all, 2K is definitely keen on making sure everyone enjoys BioShock because the last thing anyone wants is to not enjoy that fine game in all of its glory.
