Publisher of the Year
The nominees are:
Microsoft Game Studios
Sony Computer Entertainment
Telltale Games
Take-Two Interactive
Ubisoft
And The Winner Is…
Telltale Games
Telltale Games’ titles have mostly featured its trademark episodic style, but were unable to find mainstream success until this year, despite previous attempts from strong licenses such as Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. The publisher/developer’s work on The Walking Dead, however, has found that success and in effect changed the conversation on storytelling, mechanics, and distribution with its innovative and original formula.
