Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment
From humble beginnings (and The Matrix Online), Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has developed into a powerhouse publisher with a formidable stable of development studios, including WB Games, Rocksteady, NetherRealm, Monolith, Snowblind, Turbine, Traveller’s Tales. In 2011, games from WBIE have claimed top billing for two GamerNode genre awards, one platform award, and one special honors category, as well as a number of other nominations and second-place finishes. On the strength and impact of games such as Batman: Arkham City, Mortal Kombat, and Bastion, the 2011 Publisher of the Year Nodie goes to a deserving Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

WWE 12 beat out WWE All Stars? Absolute hogwash.
Yeah, we loved All-Stars, and some consider it more fitting for the “fighting” genre, but WWE 12 did a great job at pushing the sim side of pro wrestling, and felt deserving of the nomination.
It was a question whether or not to include a wrestling game here at all, actually.
